Garden Tours
Tours of Candace Carter's personal garden in Claremont Ontario are fun and educational.
The garden is about 1/3 of an acre with no lawn at all - the entire space is planted right out to the road. It uses several lawn alternatives, including mulched paths, flag stone paths, creeping thyme, golden creeping jenny, and large flower beds.
There are perennial flower gardens which bloom continuously from spring right through fall. There are also shade gardens, 2 water features, green house, and nursery beds.
A kitchen garden provides most of Candace's fresh fruits and vegetables and is decorative too.
There are numerous fruit trees, raspberry bushes, rhubarb plantings, and asparagus patch, grape vines, kiwi vines, goose berries, currents, strawberries line the vegetable beds, and perennial herbs such as sage, oregano, thyme, lovage, sorrel, are available nearly all year.
Plants are always available for sale.
Come and be inspired, and get practical tips to use in your own garden.
Tours are by appointment only.
Limit 12 people at a time. Larger groups should have staggered entry.
Guided tours are $50 per hour.
"Remember when it was sunny and warm, and there was no snow in sight?
I've
found few photos of our morning visit to your beautiful garden, Candace.
Thanks for describing the plants to us and answering all our many questions.
It was a lovely time, Cheers - Barb."
